A casual puzzle game developed for a startup.
Complete with custom produced background music and over twenty different levels with
increasing speed and difficulty, this hidden item minigame was designed to be easy
to learn but hard to master. Much like Where's Waldo, the objective is to find
the hidden butterflies hidden in a field of wildflowers.
The server generated a random image by compositing multiple small
transparent images into one large jpeg for download. The image is
tiled and animated in a wavy motion to make things more challenging.
User names and scores are stored in a mySQL database, which enables the
game to display a high score list as well as track player statistics.
A password-protected administrator menu allowed operators to change images,
points values, display detailed stats, and edit the user database.
Programmed in Javascript and PHP, and using mySQL, this lightweight game is
an example of the kind of game that we can create for your company quickly and inexpensively.
